The short version

Pakkam has no servers of its own. Everything you write lives in your own iCloud account, shared with one person you choose. We cannot read any of it. What does reach us is anonymous counts of things happening, and — if you buy Plus — the purchase itself.

What Pakkam stores

Your name, the emoji you picked, the city you chose, your time zone, your moods, your notes and your nudges. That is the whole list.

Where it lives

In Apple's iCloud, in a private database belonging to one of you and shared with the other. Apple does not make private or shared databases visible to developers — not in the CloudKit console, not through the API. This is enforced by Apple, not promised by us.

What we collect

Nothing you write. Not a mood, not a note, not a nudge, not a name — none of it reaches us, and none of it can.

Two other companies see a little, and only this:

No crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no ad networks. Nothing about you is ever sold, and nothing is shared with anyone beyond the two services above.

Who else Pakkam talks to

Apple, for iCloud sync and for Apple Maps once during setup, to find your city's name and time zone. PostHog and RevenueCat, as described above. That is the whole list.

Your location

Never requested and never used. You search for a city by name and pick one from the list; it is a label, not a position, and the search query is the only thing sent to Apple Maps. Your time zone comes from the city you picked.

Sign in with Apple

Used to greet you by name when you first set up. Your name is the only thing we ask Apple for. We never request your email address, so we never receive one.

Notifications

Sent by your own phone, not by us. When your person changes something, Apple wakes the app silently and the app decides locally whether to show you a banner. The text never travels through us.

Deleting your data

Unpair removes your half from iCloud. Delete everything removes it and resets the app to a fresh install. Your partner's half is theirs to delete, and disappears when they unpair. Deleting the app removes the copy on your phone.

Children

Pakkam is not designed for or directed at children under 13.
